The Heard Museum in Phoenix is a working museum first, arched walkways, quiet courtyards, water features and galleries of American Indian art, with nine event spaces that scale anywhere from fifty guests to a thousand. I have worked a milestone celebration there, a 70th birthday, and it is the kind of place that rewards a DJ who has spent time in it.

Every event here happens inside or right next to a gallery, and that shapes how I handle load in, speaker placement and volume. This is a campus built to hold art, so I build a system that covers your guests evenly at a level that stays comfortable all night, rather than one that leans on volume to do the work. The museum’s team knows this place better than anyone does, and I plan my setup with them well before the day.

Spanish Colonial architecture, fountains and sculpture on display are part of what your guests came for. The Heard also offers entertainment by Native artists, private time in the museum shop and self guided gallery visits during an event, and all of that is worth building the evening around. I pace the night so those pieces get their moment, and I stay in step with your planner, your photographer and the catering team so nothing lands on top of anything else.
