Omni Montelucia Wedding DJ

The Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia sits at the base of Camelback Mountain, and it’s one of the properties I keep coming back to for weddings and industry events in the Phoenix area. I DJ’d and MC’d the Arizona Bride Best of 2024 Awards Gala and Afterparty there, and I’ve also worked weddings at the resort, so I know how the rooms sound and how the night moves before I ever load in.

The Alhambra and Valencia Ballrooms

The Alhambra Ballroom is the resort’s largest space, built for a wedding that wants room to breathe on the dance floor without losing the intimacy of the night. The Valencia Ballroom works the opposite way, a smaller room that opens straight onto the Valencia Lawn, so a reception can move from indoor dancing to open air under the Camelback Mountain skyline without missing a beat. I’ve run sound and lighting in both, and I build the transitions around whichever flow a couple picks.

Spanish Architecture With Room to Move

Montelucia leans into its Spanish-colonial character, arched doorways, hand-painted tile, warm stone. It photographs beautifully, and it carries sound differently than a modern ballroom does. That’s part of why Arizona Bride trusted me to run their 2024 Awards night there, and it’s the same experience I bring to a wedding in the same rooms.
