The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain sits at the base of the Tortolita Mountains outside Marana, with 34 event spaces across roughly 72,000 square feet and several outdoor lawns, so no two weddings here look the same. A ceremony on the Sunset Lawn and a reception in the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom are two very different rooms in every sense, and I plan for both rather than running one setup twice.
The rooms and the lawns
The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom is the largest space at about 9,000 square feet and seats around 600 for dinner. The Tortolita Ballroom at 5,000 square feet divides into four salons and suits a mid size list. Outdoors, the Sunset Lawn is the big one at nearly 14,000 square feet, with the Brisa and Azura lawns for ceremonies and cocktail hours on a smaller scale. I have worked this resort across its full range, weddings and corporate events, in the ballrooms and out on the lawns, so whichever space your date lands in is one I have already run sound in.
A resort built for a full wedding weekend
With golf courses, a spa, and multiple ballrooms and lawns on one property, weddings at Dove Mountain often stretch past a single day, welcome events, a rehearsal dinner, the wedding itself, a next-morning gathering. I can cover the full run of it as one booking instead of coordinating separate vendors for each piece.
The desert, done at resort scale
The outdoor lawns here are landscaped with palo verde, saguaro and desert wildflowers, so the ceremony backdrop is part of the design rather than something added later. Planning sound outdoors in Southern Arizona means accounting for wind, for when the desert light actually changes, and for a setup that holds up outside a climate controlled room. I work that out with the resort’s events team, your planner and your photographer ahead of the day, and I build the soundtrack around where the light is going.
